Facebook Campaign Analysis

Your campaign plan posted on your blog shows an execution of your tactics, screenshots of status updates, media, polls, Facebook ad, anything you've done according to plan to encourage Likes and Shares.

My Campaign was about my family business. We’ve had our business close to 10 years. For another class I started this facebook page and took over the social media as job. I then took over again when his class required a campaign. Increasing likes and shares for me came through visual pictures of the product. This usually got people to repost because of the art that goes into the cakes. These are beautiful cakes that many people share through out social media. Other likes came in the past with every like would get you a free cupcake inside of our bakery.

Your posted Facebook Insights data are analyzed in terms of Likes, Reach, Visits, Posts and People. Your analysis shows what worked, what didn't and why.

Looking at my posts I usually get lots of comments and likes. Every now and then I shares also. I could get more like if I would do a giveaway. I could give out cupcakes if you like the page. This will get business in the door and people will want to buy more once there in the door. We also would get another like. I think putting our work on our site helped a lot because  people saw what we were about and wanted that product.

A posted summary is written regarding the campaign plan and how it increased traffic on your FB page and other channels used in cross-promotion, indicating trends in goals set for the campaign.

I would switch between the social medias and post from both Instagram and Facebook. This would help and make it easier to post pictures for all our clients to see. I noticed that we were growing based off of hashtags. This was a good way to get our name out there. I would also like and follow certain people back and this would make them feel good and write good things about us. People from this would post their cakes and tag us. This caused more likes and followers.

Your post includes a self-evaluation of the execution of your campaign, what worked to increase impressions and what you would do differently.

What I would do differently are give aways within limits. Giveaways get people in the door wanting to spend money. Our giveaways don't have to be the biggest treats and this will cause people to buy which will help our business financially. It would have also gave me more likes. I don't use facebook very much anymore and others don't use it as much either so likes and shares are hard to come by. If i spent more time decorating it I feel it would have been way better also for likes and shares. Overall I’m happy with my experience. This was fun and a learning exercise.

Automatic Additudinal Response

In my earlier OTM posts I noticed that I was opinionated with certain things. I said I think its right for people to come in our country if they are willing to be good, but how do we decipher. I shouldn’t be so opinionate and be more open minded. If we don’t allow certain people in it will save us from terrorism and other traumatic events. I try to look out for all people, but my goal is keep America the best it can be. I love my country and appreciate it.

OTM 3: Seeing is believing

In on the media this week it talks about a Muslim ban from certain countries that trump signed. The first go around was a rough one. The first one people were required to take a religion test and banned people from getting green cards. They did this because he wanted to eliminate terrorist that come into our country and terrorize. When he did this is left a ton of people stranded immediately. In the second ban he allowed Iraq’s people to come into our country. He is picking and choosing who comes in and comes out. With the first signing it was rough because it came into effect immediately. Leaving people stranded and lawsuits the new second order gave time before this rule goes into effect. I feel this is not right because everyone that comes here deserves a chance. if you are from here or not if your willing to work and do right for our country you should be allowed in.

Well Informed 3-Religion

This week with religion I found it to be very interesting. There are so many different kinds of religion in the world. Some I agree with and some I don’t. I consider myself a Christian but have never been baptized. I grew up going to Christian church most of my life, but spent a lot of my school days going to catholic school. These are a little different, but both come from Christianity. I have always been a part of my religion, but didn’t realize how powerful it was until I needed God the most. Church growing up was hard to go to but now that I have needed god I enjoy going now. I enjoy being a part of it and learning new things and just being right with God my creator. God as well as my faith and church have helped me through many difficult times. You wonder how it’s possible you got through it, but sometimes the only answer is God. I feel my faith is strong and it has helped me through many difficult times.

Well Informed 2- Racism

Racism is something I think we will always deal with as a community and society. This is something that has been going on for years. I found in my research that racism has been around since the 1500’s. People took slaves from other countries and brought them to their country to work for free. This is hard to believe because we are all equal. Racism is defined as prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. Racism starts with people not agreeing with the other on some level. Weather it is skin color, views, or religion. Racism is discrimination that brings us all down as a whole. If we didn’t have racism our country would be better off because there are so many violence based off racism.

Matthew Cooke explained the history of racism and what happens and where it comes from with race baiting. Race baiting is (uncountable) the use of racially derisive language, actions, or other forms of communication in order to anger or intimidate or coerce. Matthew talks about how slaves sometimes didn’t depend on skin color but loss on war. Even though slavery ended racism fell quickly after. Slave owners lost all there slaves so therefore were mad at and racial towards African Americans. He explains how African Americans were cursed and that god supported racial segregation back then in the eyes of a of white people. Racism took a toll during the Martin Luther King era when he fought for equality for African Americans. Rosa Parks also played a role in this by not giving up her seat on a bus. These events made racism take a turn for the better with making mix schools and able to use the same bathrooms and things. Today we have other racism problems like police brutality against minorities.

OTM 2: Highly irregular

Highly irregular talks about wiretapping by the government. This is a big topic because people want their privacy. Why do we have people we don’t know listening to our conversations? It’s said to help us with foreign governments and trying to figure out when the next terrorism hits before it hits. The problem with this though is they have to go through many different conversations to get what they want. People want their privacy and not feel invaded of their privacy by the people who run our country. President trump implied Barack Obama made an illegal wiretap. This is said to be UN true, but if the government is doing this it’s hurting more then it helps us. We need to be on the same side and not opposites. If you are doing it just let us know before you do it without our consent.

Well Informed 1- Future of Learning

I am somewhat excited to see how our future learning is. I think with the technology we have now days it’s advanced and I could only imagine how it will be in the near future. I am most excited that I will be out of school by then. I like to think back on how learning has evolved even just throughout my education career. When I first started school I would use a pen and paper and read in a book I was given to 90% of the time. Once I got older I noticed I needed to buy books and buy a laptop. The World Wide Web has expanded our education technology drastically as well as new phones and laptops. The near future will have better technology for us to learn. I just worry that because technology is getting better with education kids and others will start to depend on these technologies. I now days see young kids getting phones, iPad, computers and many other technologies. When I was young I didn’t get a phone until way later. I got a bike before I got a computer. Education technologies have programmed our youth to be depended on it.

#INAUGURATION

The trump inauguration was the first one where I could really understand the material. I didn’t get to watch it in depth like I would have liked to, but it was hard to see someone that I don’t really like become the leader of this country. It also scares me that important politicians don’t like him or are worried for this country as well. I have high hopes for trump though because he is a man of business. I noticed in a lot of the videos where I watched the highlights of the speech had bad comments about trump. It seems as if more people don’t like trump then people actually liking him. This is hard because we are the people who make this country and if we don’t like our president then we are both not on the same page.

Facebook Campaign

Hello everyone! Years ago my family opened up a family business called Gala Bakery. I made a Facebook page for Gala and have advertised for them for some time now. We are a custom bakery who is known for our cake! We are located in the Bay Area in California. We were voted in 2014 Number 1 bakery in the Bay Area. Our mission is to grow as a business and use social media to advertise deals and other news with the bakery. We hope to use this to make more people aware and expand into other areas around the Bay Area.
Our bakery targets all crowds that have a sweet tooth, or are in need of cakes or other treats for events. We also target people for holidays by advertising through social media cakes and other treats that are in season with the holiday. We also target people within the area so it’s a convient trip for them.

Meet Julian

Hello, my name is Julian Soto and I am 21. I am currently a junior at Dixie, and I recently switched my major to communications and am excited for what it has to offer. I am from the bay area in California and will move back once I graduate from Dixie. I also play football for Dixie and transferred from a junior college called Chabot College in the bay area. I like to hang out with my friends and family with my free time. I am excited for what the future holds for me.
